1. According to Freeman (2011), time in Chassidism is likened to the ‘the flux of ratzo v'shov’ which is described as a repetitive oscillation of either positive or negative of force that caused events to happen like the beating of the heart, respiration process, the pounding of energy through waves and the same as things that exists recurrently oscillating “between a state of being and not-being”. The said oscillation is said to come first before time. And this continual occurrence of time today is an evidence of a “higher form”.
2. According to Freeman (2011) a certain concept in Chassidism accounts why creation call for ratzo v’ show. Accordingly, two opposing methods are needed for a thing to exist. Firstly, a certain thing should be controlled by it’s Creator. However, it must consider itself having its own unique identity. In this sense, ratzo v’ show therefore links the “creative force” and the “created being”. Time is an agent of “cosmic soul and space” according to Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch (the "Tzemach Tzedek", 1789-1866).
