An Investigation on the Efficacy of the Different Dating and Courtship Styles of Computer

Science Students of the University of the Philippines Cebu

Academic Year 2011-2012

Statement of the Problem

The main objective of this research is to determine which among the different dating patterns and courtship styles executed by the Computer Science Students of the University of the Philippines A.Y. 2011-2012 is the most efficient. Specifically, it sought answer questions such as:

(a) Why do people date?

(b) What are the different dating and courtship styles executed by Computer Science Students of the University of the Philippines Cebu?

(c) What factors affect the dating and courtship styles of students?

(d) Is there a significant difference between the different dating and courtship styles?

Significance of the Study

This study will illustrate the importance and the genuine objectives of dating and courtship as an essential part of an intimate relationship. Secondly, the information gathered in this study will be appropriate for young college couples to have an excellent basis to determine what dating patterns and effective activities could be suitable for a lasting relationship.
